Like June, July has been a travel month for me. And no, I didn't go to Paris. I travelled to many places an hour or two away from my city. I would go to one place for a day, then travel to another for ten days. I will do a separate one on fashion as I went for thrifting a lot. I missed my room. I hope you all had an amazing month. And if not, tomorrow this month ends and August begins. Good luck.

Caudalie Eye cream
Because everybody needs a good eye cream in the summer when you barely get enough sleep at night.

Caudalie Foaming cleanser
My favorite cleanser BY FAR.

Francoise Hardy - Tous les garcons et les filles
This is such a stay-in Sunday listen. I recently watched Moonrise Kingdom and I listened to her song again after many years. It's definitely been one of my favorites this month.
Allah-Las - Allah-Las
It has been my ultimate road trip song. Not the album that you blast in the car, but more of a headphones one, while you look outside the window and someone else is driving. Or even if you're driving by yourself.
Foxygen - We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic
I started listening to this album in the very begining of the month and haven't stopped ever since. It's very afternoon-y and sunny. I don't know how else to describe it.

The OA
This became one of my favorite TV shows in the matter of an episode. I watched the whole thing in a day. Once you finish an episode you will want to watch the next one. It's so original and insanely well-made. I recommend everybody watches it.
Big Little Lies
I think I've mentioned this show again. It deals with so many issues like rape and domestic abuse. The plot is so compelling.
Before Sunrise
This movie fits perfectly the scenario of a Sunday night, when the week is ending and all you want to do is relax and perhaps fall in love. It's the most real and pure movie about realationships that I think I've ever seen.
J'ai Tue Ma Mere
God, I loved that movie. The monologues of the protagonistare so honest. I believe it's about the life of the actor, director and writer of this movie Xavier Dolan.
Moonrise Kingdom
Wes Anderson is one of my favorite directors and with this movie I have officially watched every movie of his. It's candy for my eyes.
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
One of the things I did when I was on vacation is to spend my afternoons watching western films right before my naps. I was surprised at how much I like them now. I've always kind of snobbed them and never reallyw watched any.

I've watched every video of this channel and I'm not ashamed. This person takes awesome music and awesome movies and makes videos for the music. As you can imagine I discovered a lot of new music and movies from them.

She's my favorite youtuber and I recently rewatched her videos for the fourth time. I'm serious. If you want to be inspired, she's your girl. Each one of her videos is so motivating and you can tell she's putting a lot of effort in it.

This songs is so amazing. She looks so effortlessly cool. I wish it was longer.

The Messy Heads Podcasts
I'm so glad these exist. They really opened my eyes to so many things that I hadn't thought about like feminism and "being perfect". I mostly listen to them while getting ready in the morning or on commute.

Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer

Truly such an interesting documentary. It focuses on Aileen, a serial killer of 6 people.

I haven't finished the series yet but I love it so far. One of the best self-help podcasts.

Love is a Mixtape
I've always been into biographies. My favorite one was Carla Bruni's. I found this book under the autobiographies and I was very intrigued. It turned out to be a great book I finished in just a few days.

Uncle Vanya
This is a play. I normally don't read plays except some Shakespeare ones. This was quite impressing. It was recommended to me by one of my friends.

Bleu comme le ciel d'été.
Rouge comme les lèvres d'une femme indépendante.

I've been trying lately to be consistent with my workouts. I've always worked out but it didn't last long. Maybe for 2 weeks and then I would start again 3 weeks later. However I've been doing really good, because I finally found workout videos that I love, which is really important. I love doing pilates and I hate cardio. Unfortunately... you need cardio.

I don't really go the gym. It doesn't work for me. It's a waste of money. I'd rather do the routines by myself (or with a friend) from the comfort of my own home, without having to go somewhere. I also run occasionally when the weather is nice. But since it's the summer and it's way too hot I haven't done that in a while. I've practically studied YouTube videos and I am here to suggest you some.
One of my favorite youtube channels is FitnessBlender. They also have a website. They are amazing if you're a beginner, but even if you're not they have some hardcore routines. They are very simple to follow and you don't feel like you are looking at a perfect person. They make mistakes, they run out of breath, they are normal and human. Essentially you feel like they understand you and they are there for you. They have these amazing 5 day challenges. These were what initially motivated me to be more consistent.

Their videos range from 7 minutes to 1 hour or so. Whatever floats your boat.

2. Karen Voight
One of my biggest issues with working out is actually finishing the workout. I find myself lying on the floor trying to find a picture of Bella Hadid on pinterest to motivate me. I kept thinking "I would love to do a workout video of hers someday." The next day Elle Macpherson's workout video popped up on my recommendations. What's a better motivation than a 90's supermodel? She wasn't called "The Body" for no reason! I love the way that they break the aerobics in 3 parts making it way easier. If you feel like giving up, look at Elle's abs.

3. Cindy Crawford
Alond the same lines, Cindy is a great motivator. I've been loving old school workout tapes. They are amazing. I mean, look at their bodies. It's a very fun video and I wasn't bored, not even for a second.

4. Tracy Anderson
I've been doing Tracy's videos since I was in middle school. I found her first when I saw an interview of Gwyneth Paltrow and she had the best words to say about her. She will kick your ass. Your whole body will be burning but it really does the trick. She's amazing for building muscles.

5. Mary Helen Bowers
She's super interesting and so unique. I wasn't aware of her videos until last month. Mary Helen uses ballet movements to workout. Of course, you don't have to be a ballet dancer to do this (I'm not). Her videos are so well made and not long at all. At 17 minutes her legs and butt video is my favorite.

Go workout and feel great when you hear that "workout complete"!

Summer isn't close to being over yet. I've been having tons of fun! What about you?

The month of June didn't go as I planned it at all! A lot of things were switched last minute, but that didn't stop me. I'm supposed to be spontaneous, right?

I've been spending a lot of time on the road and going on so many road trips! If you know me, you know that I love being on the road, listening to my favorite music. The reason I've been on the road so much is because I'm going a lot to the beach, which is about an hour drive from my house.

I've been spending a lot of time with my friends... well, most of my time.

But also, seeing my family.

Me and my mom have been obsessed with a TV show, called "Scorpion" and I'm trying to get her into "Big Little Lies".

I would love for you to recommend me some TV shows to watch or albums to listen to.

Be safe and have fun!

June was a month full of changes. Summer is here and I had to adjust myself to the hot weather and the beach water. We are currently going through a heat wave here (currently 107 degrees Farenheit - 42 degrees Celcius). Anyways let's start, because I'm so excited for my recent findings!!
I've been going on a ton of roadtrips lately! My spotify playlist has been my number one listen. I love getting in the car and listening to music. I just find such joy in that. One album that particularly stood out for me was this one. A couple of days ago I was on a road trip with my friends. We were returning actually, listening to this album, watching the sunset, smoking cigarettes, laughing. Such a great memory.

2.SCENT: Light Blue by Dolce Gabbana
I went perfume shopping with my mom the other day and I just didn't find anything that I liked as much as my Chloe one. I decided to just buy a BB cream and leave. While I was paying for the cream the cashier asked me if I wanted to try the new Dolce & Gabbana perfume. I said yes and that was the moment I fell in love. I bought it instantly and it's currently my everyday scent for the summer.

3.SUNGLASSES: Elizabeth & James
I used to hesitate investing in sunglasses when I was younger. I was so wrong. It's so important to protect your eyes with the best quality sunglasses (it also prevents eye wrinkles!). Plus, you can totally transform your outfit with a pair. That's what these sunglasses do.

4.SHORTS: Vintage Thrifted Levi's
I thrifted a pair of Levi's shorts the other day. They are amazing but unfortunately I can't find the same pair online. I just found a similar pair so that I could show you what they look like and buy them if you want to. I swear by Levi's and a bikini top in the summer.

5.EARRINGS: Silver Hoops
They look amazing with wet beach hair, or with a ponytail or with whatever as a matter of fact. And I bet you they will look good on you! They look good on everybody. I now never have to worry about jewelery. You can wear them day and night!

6.FOOD: Tabbouleh
Oh my God. I've linked the recipe I use but there are hundrends out there. It's so quick and refreshing I can die. It tastes so f'ing good! Such a perfect summer dish. Light and simple. Make sure you put some mint in there and lemon. They taste so good all together.

7.SKIRT: Topshop Unique Leather Skirt
This is my baby. I love leather skirts. I was worried they would make me look like a slut but I don't care anymore. If you want to look like a boss, wear a leather skirt.

8.SKIRT: At Ease Bi-color Denim Bud Skirt
I feel so limited in the summer. I feel like the weather doesn't let me expiriment that much when it comes to fashion, so I like to buy a lot of different skirts to switch it up a little. Amazing skirt to wear when grabbing a drink with your girls or on a date.

9.MASCARA: Pump'n'volume Dior Mascara
Hands down the best mascara I've ever tried in my life. And I've been wearing mascaras since I was 12. I really don't have anything else to say except I will repurchase this for sure when I run out.

10.BIKINI: Nuri Triangle Swimsuit
Ok, I know that Bella looks good in EVERYTHING, but I really want this. I haven't actually bought it yet but I've been eyeing it for the longest time.Let's just add this under my "to-buy" list for this month. Tell me she doesn't look good and you're lying.

11.MOVIE: The Dreamers
I watched this movie for the first time when I was 15. I really didn't remember much except for the fact that Louis was so hot in that movie. I decided to re-watch it a couple of weeks ago. It's currently marked under my favorite movies. Bernardo Bertolucci did an amazing job. I had goose bumps with the actors' performances.

12.SKINCARE: L'oreal Fine Flowers Cleansing Cream
I've been struggling with my skin lately. In the winter my skin is very dry so I'm used to loading my face with moisturizers and oils but apparently you can't do that in the summer. I was trying to find a light moisturizer but instead found something else. A moisturizing cleanser. Even if i use it and don't moisturize later my skin is still plump and smooth and not with a greasy but a very clean feeling. It's hard to explain. I've been using it for over a month and I love it.

13.SKINCARE: L'oreal Exfoliating Gel
I can safely say I'm not using anything else to scrub my face but this. I also own the same face mask, which is awesome and what got me to try this. However sometimes you don't have the time for a face mask. It gets the job done and it's not harsh at all!

14.HAIR: Garnier Botanic Therapy with honey
My hair need some extra love during the summer. They get really dry with all the sea salt and constant washing. My sister bought me the mask and the serum. The serum really changed my hair game so much. I had compliments from the first day. It makes them so smooth and they smell great for days! The hair mask I noticed has both longterm and shorterm benefits. What I mean by that is that it makes your hair glow and you won't be able to stop looking at them, but it also makes them so much healthier. My sister bought it for me, however, while she was traveling and I'm not sure if they sell it at many countries.

I finally cut them you guys! And I love them. I feel so much lighter and free.

16.TV SHOW: Fresh Prince of Bel Air
That show is insanely funny. Hillary is my sarcasm sister. Her style is to die for. I'm sure we've all seen it but I decided to re-watch it. It never fails to make me laugh.

17.TOP: Leather Bralet by Alexander Wang
Again, another item on my "to-buy" list. I thought I would add this here just for anyone who can buy it. It's so beautiful and simple and edgy. It would look so cool with my silver hoops.

I love red. Don't give me all that crap about black outfits and "black is the new black". Fuck black. Wear red. Wear red lipstick to the supermarket and show them who's got their shit together. Wear a bright red top on a rainy and foggy day. It transforms your outift so much, it's unreal.

A lot of people say "if you're going to wear a pop of color, limit yourself in one piece of clothing or an accessory". Honestly, wear whatever you want and however you want it. Be bold. Do anything you like.

Be a boss and wear a red bikini this summer. With red sunglasses. Do you!!

Sit down. How was your day? Take a break. Drink some tea or a cup of coffee or wine even. Wind down. The day will be over soon. Take the good memories and the bad and write them down. Make sure you will remember years later. The good things will make you smile and the bad won't matter, I promise. You have another day tomorrow. You can do whatever you want with it. You can cancel everything and stay home. You can go out. Talk to yourself!! It's not weird. Find the solution to a problem you've been thinking about for the past days. What can you do? What will you do?

Think. Daydream. Where do you want your life to go? Make your dreams come true. Start now!! Life is yours. Where do you want to live? The world is too big to limit yourself in one place.

Listen to music. Really invest your time in finding songs no one ever listens to. Don't share them. Keep them yours. Or ok you can tell your closest friends if you are really excited. Music can affect a person so much more than you think. What's your favorite band? If you could only listen to one genre of music for the rest of your life what would you choose? If you could create the lineup for your festival and you could only bring 5 artists who would they be?

Pay attention to your room. What are your favorite pieces of furniture? If you could only keep 10 items from your room what would you keep? If you could add five?

And most importantly... are you drinking enough water?
Stay safe.

With Blondie on the cover and Charli XCX as a guest editor, Nylon did an amazing job this month.

I also really enjoyed Jorja Smith's photoshoot. Insanely well-made!

Nobody talks about this, yet it's super important. For the longest time, I had these dry spots around my nose. They were so bad, peeling off and at the same time I was breaking out like craze. That happened 25 days of the month for 4-5 years. I am not even kidding. Because they were so severe, I could not understand exactly what it was. I thought it was just some sort of acne. Acne usually happens when your skin is oily so I just assumed I had oily skin and I just made things worse.
Only last year I went into the drugstore and I bought the Avene Cold Creme for super dry skin. I would put it on every night after a very good cleanse so that my skin could absorb most of the product. I went to bed looking so shiny and covered in oils. After a week my dry around my nose was gone.
My point is; by knowing your skin you can treat it accordingly.

I am not talking about buying different products, although that also helps (never settle till you find the perfect one!!) but for other habits you might have. For example, if you wash your face twice a day, wash it once. Try it for a week. See how your body reacts. Eliminate one food out of your diet for a week. Start with bread or dairy. If it works, continue. If it doesn't change it.

My thing is; I'd rather buy good quality products that make a difference in my face and life than buy other products that won't work as well. No, I'm not a millionaire. I'm a college student. I just save up my money and I don't waste it so that I can treat myself later. Just be sure to make your research before buying anything expensive!! Look up reviews.

Find a very good deep pore cleansing mask and use it twice a week. It's a game changer, I promise. After you are finished with that, immidiately put on a very moisturising mask. Because your face and your pores are so clean, you absorb as much of the moisturising mask as possible. Your skin will thank you afterwards.

For me for the past half of a year, it's propolis. It's all natural (you can actuallty even drink it!!) and it dries out any spots you might have. It works wonders!

It can be hard in the beggining, but it's worth it. I know a lot of people are not used to it. Let your skin breathe a couple times and week and if you take your makeup off right when you come home.

You don't need any extra harsh chemicals on your skin. We torture it enough with pollution, makeup, bad eating habits. It's completely unnecessary.

I personally change my pillow cases twice a week as opposed to my sheets which I change once a week. You rest your face on that pillow, it's super important to keep it clean. Also, keep in mind that you take your phone everywhere with you. You put it on tables, in your pocket, in your bag and on your face while you talk where your makeup rubs off. At the end of the day, take a wet wipe and clean it. You don't want all that dirt on you.

I didn't want to include that, because everybody says it. I just wanted to remind you that asside that moisturiser you need to drink water. What comes in, shows out!

Now that you have your favorite products make sure you use them! Be consistent! Even late at night when you come home and all you want to do is sleep. Don't even think about it, go straight to the bathroom. There's nothing to negiotiate.

Take care of yourself!

A few months ago, I came across a video of Jeanne Damas for Vogue. She went through her skincare routine and how she only uses French pharmacy products. Apparently that’s a thing there. French women are known for their beauty, so I decided to give it a try. I went through a lot of products. Some worked, some not as much. I wanted to share the ones that I found I will be repurchasing for a long time. I’ve created my own ten step skincare routine with very affordable products.

Step 1: Micellar Water
Bioderma Micellar Water

I don’t get the fuss about Micellar Waters. I use this product before I workout when I don’t want anything blocking my pores but I don’t want to wash my face for the third time in a day. I also use it when I run errands in the morning and come home in the afternoon, when it’s not really night to start my skincare but I want my skin to breathe. That’s about it. I have tried also the Garnier one but it was just okay.

Step 2: Makeup removal
Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Mild Cleansing Milk
I have found that removing my makeup with a cleansing milk is what works for me. That’s how I start my skincare routine. I apply it and massage my face, my eyes and lips with this. It’s a very mild product but at the same time it removes all of my makeup. I remove it with lukewarm water. My skin feels so moisturized and clean in the end. I highly recommend this one.

Step 3: Exfoliating
Nuxe Gelee Exfoliante Douce
I have to exfoliate my face at least 3 times a week to get rid of my dead skin. Everybody that has dry skin knows the struggle. This product is a life saver. It’s highly effective but it doesn’t harm your skin.

Step 4: Cleansing
Avene Cleanance Gel
I have to be honest. I’ve been using this cleanser ever since I was 14 years old. I swear by it. If I could keep only one skincare product I would choose this one. It cleanses my skin so well. My dermatologist insists on cleansing my skin because as he says “anything you use afterwards won’t work on a dirty face”, meaning makeup and other skincare stuff. It has helped me a lot with acne too.
I have to mention I used the Castalia Cleanser as well which worked perfectly. If you have an oily skin and acne prone skin I would suggest this one.

Step 5: Face Masks
Vichy Masque Mineral Desalterant

Definitely one of my favorite masks. I use a hydrating mask once a week and I switch up between this one and the Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask which works perfectly but I have to say I prefer the Mineral Mask. And it smells amazing.

Caudalie Iinstant Detox Mask
I use a detox mask again once a week and I change it between this one and the L’oreal pure clay mask. When I first bought the L’oreal mask I didn’t think I could find anything to top it off but the Caudalie one is just as high up there.

Step 6: Toner
Vichy Purete Thermale Toner
If you’re looking for a soothing toner this one is for you. I have to say, I haven’t been using it for that long but I want to see if it  will speed up my scar healing process. I will keep you updated.

Step 7: Serum
Caudalie Vineactive Huile de Nuit Detox
This serum cleanses the skin from all the pollution and really detoxes it. I wear it every night and I’ve already recommended it to all of my friends. I think it’s the most expensive product in this list but it’s honestly not that much and it’s worth investing in it if you live in the city.

Step 8: Moisturizer
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
Do you know how in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” the dad is obsessed with Windex and he is using it everywhere? I’m like that with this crème. Honestly, such a game changer. It is super moisturizing. If you’re not looking for that, it’s not for you. I use it before I sleep, before I put on my makeup as it creates a great base and it’s literally making me glow, I use it as a very natural highlighter for that healthy glow, as a lip balm and on my elbows and knew when they are dry. Need I say anything else?

Step 9: Sunscreen
Castalia Helioderm Sunscreen
One of the most important steps; sunscreen! I wear it winter and summer all year around to protect me from aging badly even if I’m still 18.

Step 10: Thermal Water
La Roche Posay Eau Thermale Spring Water
I’ve always snobbed thermal water sprays and I thought they were such a waste of money. I thought that they wouldn’t change my face at all and that they were “just water”. I was wrong. I spray this probably ten times a day. It’s so refreshing.

I didn't purchase any eye creams just because I'm perfectly happy with the one I'm currently using.
